Quality and cheap food items are sold all over the world during the holy month of Ramazan, but on the contrary,
Citizens have complained about the use of substandard and unhealthy cooking oil in the preparation of samosas, pakoras, jalebis and other Ramazan food items in the twin cities during the month of fasting.
With the beginning of the holy month, the demand for samosas, pakoras, jalebis, dahi bhala and other fried items has increased. However, to keep up with the increased demand, shopkeepers in different areas of the city have started using substandard and unhealthy oil in the preparation of these items due to which citizens fear the cost of their heaths in addition to the inflated pricing.
The urban circles have expressed serious concern over this situation and have demanded that cases be registered against those who use unhealthy items.
