Jacob Batalon, who played Peter Parker’s best friend Ned Leeds in the Spider-Man films, is officially engaged to longtime girlfriend Veronica Leahov.
The 28-year-old actor proposed in a romantic New York City setting, sharing the special moment with fans on Instagram on Wednesday.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, Batalon posted a series of photos from the proposal, including one where he kneels before a visibly surprised Leahov, who covers her mouth in shock.
Set against a heart-shaped arch of roses, surrounded by white candles, the proposal took place with the New York City skyline as a breathtaking backdrop. "The beginning of the rest of our lives together," Batalon captioned the post, adding heart and ring emojis.
Leahov, an architectural designer, also shared her excitement on Instagram Stories, posting a video of her engagement ring with the caption, "I’m still dreaming," as she and Batalon toasted with champagne. "This next chapter is already my favorite," she added.
Batalon’s engagement follows news of his Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya’s engagement, which was confirmed by sources just two months ago. According to People magazine, Holland proposed to Zendaya over the holidays at a family member’s home. An insider told People that Holland had always been certain about their relationship, describing it as "something very special."
