Blacpink's Jennie is at the center of controversy as fans accuse her of copying the "Rani" theme from Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in her latest track "Like Jennie". The allegations have sparked intense debates, with fans from both sides engaged in a heated online battle.

Jennie, who is experiencing massive success with her solo career, recently teased a snippet of "Like Jennie", which led to immediate comparisons with the Bollywood film’s soundtrack. Social media was flooded with side-by-side videos and audio clips highlighting the alleged similarities. While some dismissed the claims as mere coincidence, others insisted that the resemblance was too strong to ignore.

Blink, Blackpink's fandom, defended Jennie by arguing that musical similarities are common due to sampling and that the accusations were exaggerated.

Some, Bollywood music enthusiasts and Alia Bhatt’s supporters demanded accountability, urging Jennie’s label, Odd Atelier, to respond to the controversy.

Meanwhile, Jennie's debut solo album Ruby is set to release on March 7.
