Ariana Grande arrived at the 97th Academy Awards in a breathtaking Schiaparelli gown adorned with 190,000 Swarovski crystals, sequins, and rhinestones.

The structured dress, featuring a floating peplum bodice and layers of shimmering tulle, gave the illusion that she had arrived by bubble—a perfect nod to her role as Glinda in Wicked.

While the gown itself was a showstopper, a viral video from the ceremony captured an unexpected fashion moment.

As Paul Tazwell accepted the Oscar for Best Costume Design for Wicked, the camera switched to a shot of Cynthia Erivo, Lena Waithe and Grande stand up to applaud. Grande could be seen resting her phone on the sculptural bodice of her gown while clapping. The structured design seemed to provide the perfect ledge, allowing her to balance the device effortlessly.

The clip quickly made the rounds online, overshadowing even the most elaborate couture looks of the night and leading fans to jokingly label Grande 'versatile queen' and 'unserious'.

Grande, nominated for Best Supporting Actress, also delivered a mesmerizing Wicked medley alongside Cynthia Erivo, further solidifying her presence as one of the evening’s biggest stars.
