PARTYNEXTDOOR apologizes to Tory Lanez after apparent diss
PARTYNEXTDOOR recently aimed a diss track at Tory Lanez, responding to the incarcerated singer's recent comments.
On the evening of February 26, Party used Instagram Live to call out an unnamed rival, making his feelings clear. “I’m not y’all n*gga friends,” he declared, before previewing a track directly targeting Lanez. In the snippet, Party sings, “F*ck what Tory Lanez say… I’m running that,” adding, “I did everything he did, he’s just a running man… drama man… I’m the daddy, let me slap you okay.”
Additionally, Party addressed comparisons to Young Thug, taking a jab at Lanez for mimicking Meek Mill’s style. "You said I sound like Thug,” Party continued, “You know you sound like Meek… One day, you’ll be me.”
While Party did not specify what led to the conflict with Lanez, it appears to stem from Lanez’s recent praise of him during a prison video call, where Tory declared, “F*cking PARTYNEXTDOOR showed his best work of 2025.”
However, hours after teasing the diss, Party backtracked, apologizing for his response. He explained on Instagram stories that he had been told about Lanez’s comments but had not seen the video himself. After watching it, Party admitted, “You didn’t say anything I wouldn’t say myself... now that I seen it, I was wrong. City is stronger together.”
It remains to be seen how Lanez will react, though his ongoing prison sentence hasn’t halted his music career.
