Pakistani actress Kubra Khan, who recently got married in Makkah, has not remained silent in the face of severe criticism on social media!
In a straightforward response on her Instagram story, she gave critics a firm reply.
"Actions are judged by intentions. The beauty of Islam is that it looks at the intention. When people misunderstand your actions, Allah rewards you based on your intentions."
Kubra Khan, who had a simple and modest nikkah ceremony in Masjid al-Haram on February 12 with her close friend and fellow actor Gohar Rasheed, later held a grand wedding celebration in Karachi with lively events and music.
Since it was their happy day the couple took to the dance floor several times and videos from their mehendi night began to go viral.
However, some social media users raised strong objections to the extravagant celebrations following the spiritual and sacred nikah. The vibrant festivities in Karachi led to a debate on social media, with some users labeling the events as "contradictory actions."
"I thought they were sensible and changing the trendbut...," one user remarked. However it can be argued that they have! Pakistani actor and model Omer Shahzad tied the knot in Makkah as well.
One user on Instagram kept it short and sweet. "Cheap"
People began to question why the couple chose to tie the knot in Makkah and perform Umrah in the first place.
In her story, the actress referred to the basic principles of Islam, clearly stating that people see the actions, but Allah knows the intentions.
Her thoughtful response made it clear that she makes decisions in her life based on her intentions and faith, not others' comments.
While some criticized her, many celebrities, including Aiman Salim, have supported Kubra and Gohar's decision and spoken in their favor.
