ISLAMABAD:

This weekend, the picturesque hill station of Murree saw a massive influx of tourists eager to experience its snow-covered peaks and cool, crisp air.

Roads leading to Murree were clogged with cars, motorcycles, and buses, as families, friends, and couples flocked to the popular destination, a report from a private news channel revealed.

Murree's winter landscape captured the hearts of visitors, with its frosty vistas, frozen lakes, and scenic valleys, making it the perfect winter escape.

One student from Islamabad, visiting with friends, exclaimed, "I've been waiting for this trip for weeks!" A businessman from Lahore, visiting with his family, shared, "I love coming to Murree; it's so peaceful and serene. The kids are having a blast, and we are enjoying the cool weather," as his children played in the park.

Local vendors were equally pleased with the tourist surge. Rashid, a shopkeeper on Murree's Mall Road, said, "It's been a great weekend for business. We've had many customers and sales have been brisk."

Despite heavy traffic and congestion, tourists remained in high spirits, soaking in the breath-taking views and lively atmosphere. "It's a bit crowded, but it's worth it," said a tourist from Karachi while strolling along Mall Road.

To manage the heavy traffic, traffic police were deployed along the route, advising motorists to exercise caution.
