Six terrorists neutralised in Karak IBO

Security Forces killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Karak district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the military, said in a statement on Friday.

"Security Forces conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation (IIBO) in Karak District, on the reported presence of Khwarij. During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resultantly, six khwarij were sent to hell," said an ISPR news release.

It added that a sanitization operation "is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji" – a termed used for the terrorist belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – found in the area. It added that the security forces of Pakistan were determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for their successful operation against terrorists in the Karak district, reiterating that the whole nation stood with the security forces in the war against terrorism.

Zardari paid tribute to the bravery of security forces for eliminating six terrorists during the operation. "The courageous armed forces are determined to defend the country," he said, adding that operations would continue till complete elimination of terrorism.

Shehbaz said that the government would continue to foil the nefarious designs of the enemies of humanity. He asserted that sacrifices of lives by the sons of the nation in the war against terrorism would not go in vain. "The government is fully active to root out terrorism from the country," he said.
