Kodak Black made a notable appearance at the White House on February 20, 2025, attending a Black History Month reception alongside fellow rappers Boosie Badazz and Rod Wave. The official White House X account shared a photo of the rapper at the event, captioned “Kodak in the People’s House πΊπΈ.”

President Donald Trump also spoke at the event, praising the contributions of Black Americans to the country's greatness, saying, “Today, we pay tribute to the generations of Black legends, champions, warriors, and patriots who helped drive our country forward to greatness.”
Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, has been an outspoken supporter of Trump, even endorsing him in an October 2023 interview on Drink Champs. Black had previously garnered attention when Trump pardoned him in 2021 for a firearms possession charge, which led to the rapper's release from a 46-month sentence.
Following his release, Black quickly returned to music with his single "Last Day In," where he rapped, "Trump just freed me, but my favorite president is on the money."
Reactions to Kodak Black’s attendance at the White House were mixed, with some fans expressing surprise. One user on X wrote, "Kodak Black the only person i see hit rock bottom & go to the White House in the same year."

Another user questioned the rapper's position in the Black community, commenting, "Out of every black man this drug addict is the one they choose to represent the black community…sad." Other fans expressed similar sentiments, saying, "He pulls up everywhere but a rehabilitation facility" and "Bro was just eating chicken in the middle of the street lmfao."
