SARGODHA:

A family property dispute turned deadly in 103 North, Sargodha, where a man, along with his sons and accomplices, attacked and killed his sister-in-law and two nieces, while three other nieces sustained serious injuries.

Police said the accused, Taimor, wanted to take control of the property left behind by his late brother, Arif Hussain.

Frequent disputes had arisen between Taimor and his sister-in-law, Qamar Batool, over the inheritance.

On the day of the attack, Taimor, accompanied by his sons and seven other accomplices, stormed into the house, demanding the earnings from the family's kinnow orchards and livestock.

A heated argument broke out, after which the assailants launched an attack using sharp knives and axes.

Qamar Batool and her daughters, Maryam and Alishba, died on the spot, while her other daughters, Nimra, Zainab, and Mafia, sustained critical injuries.

The attackers fled the scene before locals arrived.

Upon hearing the victims' screams, nearby residents alerted the Saddar police, who arrived along with a heavy contingent and rescue teams.

The bodies were recovered, while the injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital Sargodha. Due to their critical condition, they were later transferred to Lahore for advanced medical care.

Police confirmed that a case has been registered against seven individuals, including Taimor Abdullah, Shoaib, Ibrahim, Iftikhar, Zulfikar, and Zeeshan, under charges of murder and attempted murder.
