Jessica Simpson recently gave a candid update about her ongoing relationship with estranged husband Eric Johnson.
Despite their separation, the 44-year-old TV personality told People magazine that Eric remains "very much a part of my life and will always be." The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 and share three children, have been apart for several months, and neither of them wears their wedding rings when going out.
Simpson opened up about her personal growth during the interview, saying, "I've grown up so much. I can handle so much. Maybe I'm just meant to love a lot of people in my life." She also acknowledged the emotional complexity of her heartache, but expressed gratitude for her children and Eric's continued presence in her life.
The interview also coincided with the promotion of Simpson's upcoming revenge album, ‘Nashville Canyon: Part 1,’ set to release on March 21. The album includes the single 'Use My Heart Against Me,' which will be available this Friday. Simpson revealed she worked on the album, which includes five tracks, during her time in Nashville, where she lived with her children.
Reflecting on the process, Simpson said, "Discovering this music is something I did on my own." She emphasized the freedom she felt in creating this album and shared that it will capture her raw emotions. Fans can expect a deeply personal and emotional journey, with the album being described as a "soundtrack to my soul," reminiscent of Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill.'
