A$AP Rocky was met with open arms from Rihanna after being acquitted of two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm on February 18, 2025. The charges stemmed from a 2021 dispute with former bandmate Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli.

When the verdict was announced, Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) raised his arm before turning to Rihanna, who sat in the front row. He then ran and jumped over the courtroom railing into her embrace as attendees cheered. Rihanna smiled and wrapped her arms around him in celebration.

After the initial moment, Rocky returned to his legal team, where more hugs followed.

Following the verdict, Rihanna expressed her gratitude on Instagram, writing, “THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD AND GOD ALONE! THANKFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS MERCY!”

The pop icon, 36, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night to mark the moment with a heartfelt message celebrating the verdict, which spared Rocky from a potential 24-year prison sentence if convicted

Rocky also posted on social media, writing “DON’T BE DUMB” on X (formerly Twitter), referencing his long-awaited album of the same name, originally set for release in August 2024.

Beyond the case, Rihanna has spoken about her life with Rocky and their two children. “They bring purpose to every aspect of my life,” she told E! News in April. “Motherhood, wifehood-ish—I love it. I love to be a homemaker…building new traditions for our little family.”
