With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 set to begin on February 19, cricket legends Ian Bishop, JP Duminy, and Tim Southee have praised Pakistan’s role as the host nation.

Their remarks highlight the country’s cricketing passion and its return to the global stage as a major tournament venue after nearly three decades.

The Champions Trophy marks Pakistan’s first ICC event since 1996, and cricketing figures have lauded the country’s efforts in preparing for the competition.

Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop expressed his excitement, calling Pakistan the ideal host. "I couldn’t think of a better place to be hosts of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 than Pakistan," he said, emphasizing the country’s deep cricketing roots and passionate fans.

South Africa’s JP Duminy shared his enthusiasm, noting the immense support for the game in Pakistan.
