Haroon has joined forces with Aima Baig to release a new uplifting track Cha Jaa, the official soundtrack for the children's animated TV series Planet Champs.

The singer's high-energy music video serves up a charming mix of live-action and animation, which he has produced under his Unicorn Black Production umbrella. As per its official YouTube description, the track revolves around overcoming adversity and chasing your dreams while also carrying a powerful message about protecting the environment.

Last week, the reclusive musician dropped heavy hints on his Instagram handle that fans should expect a new song very soon. Alongside a reel flickering through the highlights of his career, Haroon gave a rundown of his pet projects.

"Everywhere I go people ask me why I have disappeared from the scene. Literally EVERYONE asks me that," he captioned, acknowledging his fans' questions about his absence from the music scene.

However, Haroon added that he had been involved in new ventures. "I've actually been incredibly busy working on various passion projects that consumed me," explained the Dil Se singer. "And although I loved working on these projects, sadly somewhere along the way, music took a backseat. This video sums up what I've been up to over the last few years."

In his own words, the singer-songwriter has evolved the way he tells stories. "Most of you know me as just Haroon the singer, for which I don't blame you because that's what I did for many years," he said in his reel. "For a while now, I've been keeping very busy doing many things. I found a love for production and direction while working on my own music videos. That's when I decided to do this on a bigger scale and set up my own production company called Unicorn Black Production. We worked on film ideas, music, and TV shows."

For the unversed, Haroon transitioned to animation after the success of his Emmy Award-nominated and Peabody Award-winning superhero series Burka Avenger (2013). Speaking about the impact the show had had on his career, the artist added in his reel, "I never thought I'd stop making music, but when Burka Avenger came out, it exploded on the global stage. It became huge. And then we became inundated with offers to do more seasons. Burka Avenger had become far bigger than Haroon."

Haroon sang the Burka Avenger soundtrack song Baba Bandook alongside Ali Azmat and released his solo Dhundoonga in 2020. In the same year, he also collaborated with Azmat, Arif Lohar and Asim Azhar for the Pakistan Super League anthem Tayyar Hain.
