In the 3-point contest, Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro ended Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard’s bid for a third straight title, becoming the fifth player in franchise history to win the event.
Lillard, an Oakland native, was eliminated in the first round after scoring 16 points.
Golden State’s Buddy Hield matched the record for most points in a round with 31, advancing alongside Herro and Cleveland’s Darius Garland.
Herro edged Hield 24-23 in the final, with Hield missing a key shot on his final rack.
"I feel like a lot of great shooters, some of the greats to play this game have won this competition," Herro said. "Just happy to put my name in the history books for All-Star Weekend."
