Elon Musk's estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has made a surprising revelation about how she learned of a potential new half-sibling—through Reddit.

In a recent TikTok video, Wilson, 21, recounted the unusual way she discovered news of her sibling, drawing attention to a strange pattern in her life.

Using a popular sound clip from the animated show Phineas and Ferb, she captioned the video: "Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I found out I had a half-sibling through Reddit, I'd have two nickels… which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?" The video quickly went viral, amassing more than 400,000 views, as viewers related to her experience of unexpected family discoveries.

Wilson humorously followed up with, "I don't know how many siblings I have"—a comment that further resonated with viewers, many of whom shared their own bizarre family revelations.

Doubling down on the strange family discovery, Wilson also posted on Threads, where she clarified that she has learned about six of her half-siblings through the internet—an experience she appears to find both unsettling and oddly humorous.

Vivian, born as Xavier Musk to Elon and his first wife, Justine Wilson, in 2004, legally changed her gender to female in 2022, adopting the name Vivian Jenna Wilson. She made headlines that year after requesting to legally sever ties with her biological father, stating, "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."

Musk, who is known for his complex relationships, has 12 other children from multiple relationships, including twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, from his marriage to Justine. He shares additional children with musician Grimes and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, and recent allegations have suggested that Musk's brood could extend to 13 with the birth of a child with conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair.

Despite the controversies surrounding her father, Vivian has been vocal about their strained relationship, often calling out Musk for his dismissive and hostile behavior towards her.

In a 2024 NBC interview, she accused Musk of cruelty during her childhood, particularly due to her queerness and femininity. “He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there,” she said, adding that he "relentlessly harassed" her for expressing her identity.

Musk, for his part, has publicly criticized his daughter, even referring to her as "not a girl" and stating that she was "killed by the woke mind virus." He also claimed he was "tricked" into allowing gender-affirming care for her when she was 16, later expressing his belief that "puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs."

Despite their fractured relationship, Vivian continues to gain social media attention, with many rallying behind her for her candidness and defiance against her father’s public comments. Her TikTok bio humorously reads, "I promise I'm not dead," a nod to the frequent mischaracterizations of her in the media.
