Poet dies in mysterious fire

HYDERABAD:

Eminent Sindhi poet Allah Bux aka Dr Akash Ansari died on Saturday. He was 69. Police have opened a probe to dig out the facts behind his death apparently caused by a fire in his room.

The poet was asleep when the fire erupted early in the morning. A Rescue 1122 team rushed to his residence in Citizens Colony in Qasimabad and doused the blaze.

As per the initial report, a short circuit appeared to have sparked the fire. The body was lying close to the room's entrance which suggested that he might have tried to escape. The poet had registered an FIR against his son last year, accusing him of fraud. The case has made the police suspicious, promoting the investigation.
