Police in Rajanpur rescued a man kidnapped by criminals operating in the riverine katcha area.
According to a police spokesperson, criminals had abducted Muhammad Jamil Jheel a few days ago.
A case was registered against the kidnappers at Bangla Acha police station on the complaint of Rajanpur police.
Acting on intelligence-based information, the police located the victim.
The abductors had been moving Jamil from one place to another, while teams led by the DSP of Bangla Acha pursued them.
Upon seeing the police approaching them, the kidnappers opened indiscriminate fire. In response, the police retaliated with heavy fire, forcing the kidnappers to flee and leave the abducted man behind.
The Rajanpur DPO stated that search operation were under way in various areas to apprehend those involved in the kidnapping.
