Strong earthquake shakes Rawalpindi and Islamabad, sparking panic

A strong earthquake jolts struck the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, sending shockwaves of fear among residents who rushed out of their homes and offices reciting prayers.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale with a depth of 17 kilometers. The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southwest of Rawalpindi.
The tremors were particularly intense in high-rise buildings, prompting occupants to evacuate in panic. As of now, no casualties or property damage have been reported. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation and assessing any potential impact.
