Mawra Hocane is relishing the unexpected success of her Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam, which, despite its initial failure nine years ago, is now breaking records as a re-release in India.
The actress, who recently tied the knot, credited Ameer Gilani for the film’s newfound popularity.
She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love the film is receiving, attributing its success to Gilani’s involvement and noting that it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves.
Recalling the heartbreak of its original release, Mawra shared that the film’s failure shattered her spirit, leaving her feeling as if her soul was lost.
However, support from her family and Pakistani directors helped her overcome the emotional setback, leading her to successful projects.
Mawra also spoke about the growing demand for a Sanam Teri Kasam 2, stating she would love to return to the role but is open to others taking it on if it benefits the production.
