RAWALPINDI:

A day after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat, was expelled from the party, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stepped forward in his defense.

Gandapur urged the party's founder to reconsider the decision and reinstate Marwat's membership.

In this regard, the K-P CM met with Imran Khan on Thursday in the conference room of Adiala Jail.

During their discussion, they addressed various political and party matters, the law and order situation in K-P, ongoing development projects, and the recent rally in Swabi.

According to sources, Gandapur specifically raised concerns over Marwat's expulsion, requesting the party's founder to review the decision.

On Wednesday, The Express News reported that Imran Khan had instructed PTI leadership to remove Marwat from the party.

His membership was revoked following complaints from senior party leaders regarding his behavior at the Swabi rally.
