Elon Musk’s four-year-old son, X Æ A-12, became the unlikely star of a White House press conference on February 11, overshadowing both his father and President Donald Trump. Musk was present to discuss government cost-cutting through his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), but X’s unexpected behavior quickly stole the spotlight.
As Musk answered questions from reporters, X kept himself entertained in ways that did not go unnoticed. The toddler was caught on camera picking his nose and wiping it on Trump’s desk before allegedly whispering to the President, “I want you to shush your f*cking mouth up!” The moment, which was picked up by several attendees, has since gone viral, with social media exploding with reactions.

Musk, attempting to keep the situation under control, tried to laugh it off as X continued his playful disruptions. “I thought my son might enjoy this, but he's sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff,” he told the press, before turning to X and saying, “Hey! Stop that.”
At another point, the four-year-old clung to his father’s shoulder and reportedly said to Trump, “Mr. President, it's me, I need to pee.” Trump, amused by the child’s boldness, went on to call him a “high IQ individual.”

Addressing concerns, Musk defended DOGE’s strategy, saying, "It's not just us going in and doing things willy-nilly. It's in partnership with the agency heads, and I check regularly with the president to make sure this is what he wants to happen.”
