Canadian rapper Drake created an unforgettable moment for a fan during his Melbourne concert on Wednesday night at Rod Laver Arena. The 38-year-old ‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker surprised concertgoer Sally Soumaya by revealing the gender of her unborn child live on stage—and then topped it off by gifting her $50,000 AUD ($33,000 USD).
A video shared on TikTok by Sally on Thursday captured the emotional moment. Holding a sign that read, “Do my gender reveal”, Sally’s request caught Drake’s attention between songs. As Sally passed a piece of paper to the front of the stage, the rapper excitedly took part in the reveal.
“This is life-changing. Oh, what do we think it is?” he teased the audience before making the big announcement. “It says right here that it indicates that the fetus is a mini Drake,” he revealed, confirming that Sally was expecting a baby boy. The crowd erupted into cheers, but Drake wasn’t done yet. In a heartwarming gesture, he told the expectant mother, “Sally’s having a boy and Sally’s getting $50,000 AUD ($33,000 USD) from me.”
Sally, overwhelmed with emotion, later captioned her TikTok post, “I will never recover from this! Drake does my baby’s gender reveal.” The post quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comments.

Many joked that Sally had no choice but to name her son after the rapper. One fan wrote, “I feel like his middle name gotta be Drake,” while another added, “Generational fumble if you don’t name him Aubrey.” Another user commented, “Can’t wait to meet baby Drake! Most insane experience.”

Drake’s kind gesture follows his lucky streak at Melbourne’s Crown Casino, where he reportedly won over $700,000 AUD ($460,000 USD). DJ Gordo, who is traveling with Drake, shared a video of the rapper celebrating in an elevator, showing off his casino winnings with the caption: “700K for lunch.”
