K-P health dept targets staff absences

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has directed District Health Officers (DHOs), hospitals, and medical centers across the province to submit reports on departmental actions taken against absent staff.

All DHOs have been instructed to provide details of actions taken against unauthorized absences based on Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) reports from January 2024 to January 2025.

Additionally, DHOs and Medical Superintendents (MS) have been reminded that these directives were issued during the IMU review meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister on February 3.

They have been ordered to submit the required documents to Divisional and District Monitoring Officers by February 14.
