Kurram Agency: 830 patients given free eye treatment

689 patients were given medicine without charges.

PESHAWAR: The Fata Directorate of Health Services (FDHS) held a five-day free eye camp in various parts of Kurram Agency. According to a press release issued by FDHS on Wednesday, Fata Comprehensive Eye Care Services (CECS) conducted the camp under the supervision of FDHS. The camp was held at Basic Health Unit (BHU) Mali Khel, BHU Burki, BHU Kirman, CD Malana and CD Ali Mangala in Parachinar. A total of 830 patients were treated under the programme, while 689 patients were given medicine without charges. In addition to that, 375 people were provided with reading glasses, while 32 patients were referred to AHQ Hospital Parachinar for cataract surgeries. The CECS also provided intraocular lenses to the patients under the programme.
