Sabrina Carpenter just received a pop royalty stamp of approval from Madonna after unveiling her Vogue March 2025 cover. Fans quickly noted similarities between Carpenter’s high-fashion shoot and Madonna’s Vanity Fair spread from 1991.

“Is this a Valentine’s present to me?” Madonna commented under Vogue’s Instagram post, seemingly acknowledging the visual tribute. Shot by longtime Madonna collaborator Steven Meisel, Carpenter posed in an ice-blue satin cone bra corset mini dress by Dolce & Gabbana, a look reminiscent of Madonna’s Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra from her 1990 Blond Ambition Tour.

Other celebrities, including Lily Collins and Heidi Klum, also praised the glamorous spread. Carpenter, known for embracing pop history, previously paid tribute to Madonna by wearing a white sequin Bob Mackie gown at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards—the same dress Madonna wore to the 1991 Academy Awards.

In her Vogue interview, Carpenter shared how powerful, hyper-feminine women inspired her upcoming sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet. “(I was) feeling inspired by images of women that felt very strong and hyperfeminine,” she said.

With her new album set to solidify her pop stardom, Carpenter’s Vogue cover—and Madonna’s co-sign—marks another milestone in her skyrocketing career.
