Kendrick Lamar is set to make his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) once again. Actor Anthony Mackie confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Lamar has recorded the title track for Captain America: Brave New World, marking his second collaboration with Marvel.
Marvel has already been using Lamar’s hit N95 to promote the film, but his new song—rumored to be titled Brave New World—will serve as the official theme. The track is expected to release on all streaming platforms alongside the film’s debut.
Mackie, a New Orleans native, was in his hometown for Super Bowl LIX, where Lamar headlined the halftime show with performances of Not Like Us, Humble, and All The Stars. The actor expressed excitement over Lamar’s involvement, stating that it aligns with the film’s success.
Captain America: Brave New World is the first solo film featuring Mackie as Captain America, following Sam Wilson’s transition into the role. The movie will explore Wilson’s journey without the Super Soldier Serum, highlighting his leadership and resilience. Returning characters include Carl Lumbly as a forgotten Super Soldier and Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres, the new Falcon.
Captain America: Brave New World will debut in theatres across the globe on February 14, 2025.
