An investigation officer was sent to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Tuesday.
Police sources said that the investigation officer, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aslam, was previously suspended from duty, along with three constables of his team, after a handcuffed criminal, Pervez, managed to flee from their custody few days ago from a court room waiting area.
Aslam was later arrested on charges of aiding escape of the criminal, while the three police constables have managed to flee, fearing their arrest.
