Nine booked for attempted murder of two

The city Samundari police registered a case under the provisions of terrorism and attempted murder against nine accused who were arrested for injuring two opponents by firing outside the gate of district Kachhari Samundari and started searching for other accused.

The case registered by Muhammad Nasrullah Sarwar, a resident of Toba Tek Singh, Gojra district, it was stated that the accused Ghulam Nabi, Ghulam Muhammad aka Mandi, Ramzan, Ashfaq, Waqas, shot and seriously injured Ibad Ali Nathe, Muhammad Abdullah outside the Samundari Kachhari to avenge an old grudge.

The firing spread fear and panic inside and outside the Kachhari district. The police registered a case against the accused under the provisions of section 7ATA-324-440-148-149 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and arrested three accused on the spot and started searching for the rest.

Meanwhile, in the case of blackmailing a public servant and making his objectionable videos viral, the court acquitted the accused and his accomplices Umar Farooq and civil servant Sajid from the case.

Petitioner, Moazzam, a government officer posted in the CPO, had alleged that the accused married him fraudulently, after which the petitioner came to know that the accused was a mother of four children.

When Moazzam came to know about this, the accused along with her two colleagues' government employees Sajid and Umar Farooq started blackmailing Moazzam.
