KARACHI:

The disgraced secretary and chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) Professor Ameer Hussain Qadri has yet to return the three official vehicles allotted to him during his tenure.

Qadri was dismissed by the government following widespread dissatisfaction with the 2024 intermediate annual examination results.

BIEK has told Qadri to return its vehicles. It should be noted that the BIEK secretary Qadri also held the charge of the chairman of the board for some time.

However, the controlling authority first withdrew the additional charge of the post of chairman from him due to his foreign visit without NOC and later removed him from the post of secretary of the board and made him report to his own department the Directorate of College Education.

The board officials have demanded the return of three different vehicles which are under his use. The letter written by the board's deputy secretary Shaheer Waqar states that he has been made to report to the College Education Department from the board in the light of a letter dated January 30.

However, he has three vehicles of 2014, 2016 and 2004 models. The vehicles should be handed over to the transport section of the board so that there is no disruption to the board's office affairs.
