15 PTI workers booked for flouting Section 144

Opposition activists were trying to stage a public rally

The D-Type Colony police have registered a case against 15 workers, including six nominees, who were caught violating Section 144.

ASI Javed Iqbal posted at D-Type Colony police station filed a case in which he has taken the position that ten or twelve workers in Murad Colony Main Bazaar who were busy preparing to take out a PTI rally, while some workers fled after seeing the police party.

They arrested Rana Noman, Muhammad Amir, Mian Irfan, Mohsin Ali Imtiaz Hassan, and Zohaib son of Farooq were arrested from the spot. The police have registered a case against the arrested and escaped workers under the provisions of Section 188 of the Penal Code and sent them to jail.

Meanwhile, armed accused opened fire on the opponents who came to appear before the court at the Samundari Kachhari Gate and injured two persons. The firing caused a stampede among the lawyers and citizens.

The police arrested the three accused along with the weapons and registered a case.

Two accused Muhammad Abdullah Sarwar resident of 365 JB Gojra and Ibad Ali Nathe resident of 44 GB, after receiving interim bail in the case from the court of Additional and Sessions Judge Mohammad Shafiq, were in their vehicle at Kachhari gate to submit surety bonds.

Meanwhile, their opponents, accused Ghulam Nabi Iqbal, Usman Iqbal, resident of 44 GB, etc, who came riding in car number LEC 8663 Corolla, opened fire on them.

As a result of which both people were injured, whom the rescue team provided medical aid and shifted them to THQ Hospital. After receiving the information, the police officers including SP Saddar Division and DSP Samundari and SHO City Samundari reached the spot.

SHO City Samundari, Inspector Mohsin Mainer took action in a timely manner and arrested the three suspects Ashfaq, Ramzan and Ghulam Nabi along with modern weapons and transferred them to the police station and started investigation.

The firing caused fear and panic among the lawyers and the citizens who came to appear before the court. The City Samundari Police registered a case against the arrested accused and started the process of interrogation.

According to the police, the family members of the victim who was killed a few months ago in Tarkhani police station area opened fire on their opponents who were on interim bail today to take revenge. As a result, two people were injured.
