Kid Rock abruptly ended his performance in Nashville after the audience failed to clap along, resulting in a heated outburst.

The incident occurred during a birthday celebration for Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan on Saturday, February 8, at Jon Bon Jovi’s bar in downtown Nashville.

As a guest performer, Kid Rock joined the band for a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Proud Mary. However, midway through the song, he stopped singing, visibly frustrated by the crowd’s lack of participation. “Fk them. Fk them. Hey, hey, stop,” he said, lightly pushing aside a female singer while demonstrating how he wanted the audience to clap.

Despite a few audience members attempting to follow along, Rock wasn’t satisfied. Moments later, he angrily declared, “You know what, f**k y’all. You ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone,” before storming off the stage.

David Bryan and the band looked surprised by the outburst, but the show continued without further disruption. Rock did not return for the remainder of the performance.

Kid Rock will soon be back on stage in April for his Rock the Country co-headlining tour with Nickelback, where he’ll perform in front of his own fans—who will hopefully clap along.
