Punjab police officer slaps PCB employee outside Gaddafi Stadium
A police officer assigned to security at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium slapped a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) employee during Monday’s match between New Zealand and South Africa.
The incident occurred when the police officer reportedly assaulted the PCB employee while on duty. Other security personnel intervened to break up the altercation.
Footage of the incident surfaced showing the officer slapping the PCB employee, sparking concerns over security protocols at the stadium.
In recent developments, workers had completed the renovation of Gaddafi Stadium in record time, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi fulfilling a promise made to the workers. He had earlier hosted a luncheon for the workers, engaging in casual conversation.
One worker, who had no mobile phone, mentioned his inability to use TikTok. Naqvi promised to provide him with a phone, a promise he fulfilled today.
The worker later thanked him in a video message, expressing gratitude for fulfilling his wish. "The PCB chairman has fulfilled my heartfelt desire," he said.
