Tensions between Kanye West and popular streamer Adin Ross escalated on February 8, 2025, when the rapper shared a private text conversation that quickly went viral.
West, who had been in talks with Ross about a potential livestream collaboration, made waves by airing their conversation on X (formerly Twitter).
In the exchange, Ye instructed Ross to address him as “sir,” which Ross did—though with a hint of sarcasm. Ross, in response, said he would like to be Ye’s “favorite Jew,” and expressed confusion over why fellow streamer Kai Cenat had canceled plans for Ye to appear on his platform.
However, West didn’t take kindly to Ross's tone, accusing him of sarcasm and ultimately posting a tirade filled with antisemitic remarks.
West’s repost of Ross’s response included a disturbing caption, which read: “JEWS ARE ARROGANT AND THINK THEY CAN SPEAK TO ANYONE THEY WANT ANY KIND OF WAY THATS WHY EVERY JEWISH WIFE IS A BITCH.”
In response to West's offensive comments, Ross simply replied: “Yea ggs. Drake better.”
The remark, signaling the end of their planned collaboration, highlighted Ross’s frustration and distance from the rapper’s views.
This altercation comes after Ross had previously made his disapproval of Ye’s antisemitic statements clear. Ross, who is Jewish, had responded to a photo of Ye in an anti-Nazi shirt by writing, “I’m Jewish, I’m not a bad guy. I love you Ye.”
Despite their differences, Ross defended his desire to work with Ye, explaining, “Ye is my favorite artist of all time,” and insisting that streaming is about taking risks, regardless of the potential fallout.
The controversy surrounding West's offensive remarks had already led to the cancellation of a planned stream with Kai Cenat, with Cenat stating, “I’ve seen the tweets, I don’t know what’s going on bruh. I think it’s GGs.”
Earlier, Ye had reached out to Ross with the hope of streaming together, despite misspelling Ross's name in his post. While fans were eager for the collaboration, things quickly soured as the conversation took a more hostile turn. As a result, the possibility of a Ye and Ross livestream appears to be dead in the water, with both figures now heading in separate directions.
