Travis Kelce responds to backlash over Taylor Swift date night ahead of Super Bowl 2025
Travis Kelce remains fully committed to Super Bowl 2025, even after spending Friday night in New Orleans with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Some fans criticized his romantic outing with the “Cruel Summer” singer, calling it a “bad look” and suggesting it made him seem “unfocused.” In response, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end posted an energetic message on Instagram.

Sharing a video of himself performing impressively on the field, he wrote, “🗣️Don’t peak too soon!!”
Although his message on Saturday didn’t directly address the online criticism, the footage made it evident that Kelce is more than ready to face the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome on Sunday.
One person commented that Kelce appeared “unfocused,” while another remarked, “Bad look. Kelce supposed to be locked in and watching film. I’m sure that could have waited.”
A third individual noted, “Normally the players do not go out the week before they are playing in the Super Bowl because of how seriously they take the game, or so I’m told. Even saw an old clip of that Kelce guy saying that.”
During a conversation on his “New Heights” podcast last year, ahead of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 appearance, Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, “We’ve got one week, we do what we need to do then we can party in Vegas for the rest of our lives.”
