RAWALPINDI:

The district administration and police, in a joint operation, have arrested and deported 205 Afghans who had illegally entered Pakistan.

A young Afghan, who was taken into custody five days ago, injured himself by hitting his head with iron bars for not being released and being deported.

Taking notice of the incident, officials informed the Afghan national that he would be deported on February 10. He, however, continued protesting.

Furthermore, the district administration has released 155 arrested Afghan families and youths as they had visa travel documents.

A special facility centre has been set up in the Hajj Complex for the investigation and inquiry of the arrested Afghans.
