Three burqa-clad terrorists killed in IBO

Three terrorists were killed while escaping an intelligence-based operation (IBO) wearing a burqa, in the Datta Khel are of the North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement on Friday.

The ISPR, the media wing of the military, stated that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the dead "Khwarij" – a term used for the terrorists belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), adding that they were actively involved in numerous activities in the area.

"On night 6-7 February 2025, security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District on reported presence of khwarij. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location as a result of which three khwarij were sent to hell, who were trying to escape wearing women attire (burqa)," the ISPR stated.

"Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," it added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the security forces for their successful operation, and killing three terrorists. He said the whole nation saluted the security forces, adding the government was determined to root out all forms of terrorism from the country.
