Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has been removed from ITV programming following allegations of sexually inappropriate and intimidating behavior spanning 12 years.
The Celebrity Juice and This Morning star, 48, faces over 40 complaints, which he firmly denies.
The controversy intensified after a resurfaced 2010 Celebrity Juice clip showed D’Acampo making an explicit joke about Fearne Cotton’s appearance, leaving her and Holly Willoughby visibly shocked. Another 2021 This Morning segment revealed him making crude remarks about Willoughby’s body, sparking viewer outrage.
An ITV News investigation spoke to over 40 individuals who either witnessed or experienced D’Acampo’s alleged misconduct. Reports claim he made inappropriate comments about female colleagues, including describing a woman’s breasts as “perfect” and issuing a vulgar threat involving a Cornetto ice cream.
A woman identified as "Hannah" told ITV News she was disappointed by his response, saying, “He could have apologized and reflected, but instead, he denied everything.”
In response, D’Acampo stated, “These allegations have never been raised with me before, and I firmly deny them. I would never intentionally distress anyone.” He also claimed ITV executives continued to support and commission him during the alleged period.
Despite his denial, ITV has removed his shows from the schedule, marking a significant fallout for the once-popular TV personality.
