A seven-member Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court, led by Justice Aminuddin Khan, on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking investigation into the Islamia University of Bahawalpur scandal as inadmissible.
Justice Aminuddin Khan said that an LHC judge had inquired into the matter, and it was resolved. Justice Mazhar told the lawyer, the case was in the LHC jurisdiction therefore, he should approach the LHC. However, the lawyer replied that the case was limited to Punjab alone.
Justice Musarrat Hilali then asked the lawyer what he wanted from the court. On that Bhutta replied that the record should be summoned from the Punjab govt.
