Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani have tied the knot

After a period of flaunting their romance to fans, actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani finally tied the knot on Wednesday. In photos shared to Instagram, the two lovingly posed together, adorned in their wedding attires. "And in the middle of chaos… I found you," Mawra wrote. Adding a short prayer, she punctuated the caption with the adorable hashtag #MawraAmeerHogayi.

While Ameer donned a black kurta and shalwar at the Nikkah ceremony, Mawra wore a pale teal ensemble that pooled at her feet. Stark reds and purples laced the bride's fabrics, boasting a scatter of floral embroidery. Teal accessories dressed her ears, hair, and neck, while golden bangles locked her mehendi-painted arms.

The bride and the groom made it official in the presence of loved ones. In one photo, Mawra engaged in a hearty conversation with sister Urwa Hocane and brother-in-law Farhan Saeed. And if the photos are any indication, some tears were shed. Though, despite that, the two were all smiles as they hugged those closest to them and each other.

Industry peers showered the couple with their best wishes. "My girl! May Allah bless you with eternal happiness, love, and togetherness," wrote Kubra Khan on Instagram Stories. "After always dreaming of a fairytale, you finally found yours! May you guys shine together with prosperity and happiness. I love you," Alyzeh Gabol wrote to Mawra.

"My Maws is finally married! Mubarak, Mubarak! Masha Allah. Love you," penned Armeena Khan. "Mubarak, you beautiful ones! May Allah keep you both happy and safe, and keep blessing you. Ameen!" prayed Ayesha Omar, while Yumna Zaidi commented, "Big, big congratulations. May you two shine bright together forever, Ameen."

Meanwhile, Osman Khalid Butt brought a hilarious touch to the sentimentality with his comment. "Congratulations! So happy for you both. Can't say who's luckier, but I'll give the edge to my bro Ameer Gilani haha," he wrote.

Fans, who had been waiting for this special announcement, were enthusiastic in offering their prayers and congratulations in the comments section. "OMG my heart, you guys! Masha Allah, Masha Allah! Even in the past, Mawra and Ameer have served nothing but couple goals. In September, Ameer shared a carousel on Instagram on Mawra's birthday. Among the many endearing shots, he smeared cake on her face in one photo. "Happy birthday, Mawrello! You have taken your light to London. Shine bright like you always do, but bring it back soon though," he sweetly penned.

The two have also starred in projects together, including drama serials Sabaat and Neem. In January, Mawra took to Instagram to tease a project starring the two alongside Zaviyar Ejaz. Even then, fans couldn't help but gush over how cute the pair looked. "Excited that she finally got another project with her favourite boy," wrote a user.
