Five people were killed and three others injured in two separate traffic accidents in Karachi.
The first incident occurred on Rashid Minhas Road near Millennium Mall, where a speeding dumper truck ran over motorcyclists, resulting in the deaths of three people, including a husband and wife, and injuring an 18-year-old youth. The deceased were identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Farooq, his wife 40-year-old-Maryam Zehra, and 46-year-old Kamran.
After the accident, angry onlookers pelted the dumper truck with stones, while the driver escaped. The incident was so horrific that bystanders screamed in shock. The bodies had been dismembered under the heavy wheels of the dumper. SHO Shahrah-e-Faisal reported that two motorcycles, two cars, and a rickshaw were damaged in the accident.

The second incident occurred in Malir Khokhrapar, where a bus crashed into a house, resulting in the deaths of 33-year-old Bisma and her four-year-old son, Arham. Her husband, Imran, their eight-year-old son, Arman, and a passerby were injured. The accident occurred when the driver was trying to push-start the bus, which then went out of control. Police arrested the bus driver. Until February 5 this year, 82 people have lost their lives in traffic accidents in Karachi.
