Anna Paul breaks down over Mikaela Testa's accusations of fat-shaming and lying about poverty

Anna Paul has broken her silence after former best friend Mikaela Testa accused her of fat-shaming a fan and lying about growing up poor. The TikTok stars have been caught in a heated public feud, and the allegations have left Anna visibly shaken in her latest TikTok video.

After taking an unusual five-day break from social media, Anna, 25, shared an emotional response on Monday night, where she denied the claims made by Mikaela. "I do not call my fans 'fat', that is not who I am and that is not what I stand for, that is not what I have ever stood for, but you guys know me surely?" Anna said, fighting back tears. She clarified that she may have called someone "sweaty" in a situation where a fan had touched her and left her wet, explaining that it was not meant to offend anyone.

The drama began last week when Mikaela, 24, accused Anna of making fun of a "plus-size fan" during a visit to South Bank in Brisbane back in 2021. Anna tearfully addressed the situation, saying, "This was four years ago, that may have happened. That does not make me a bad person."

In addition to the fat-shaming claim, Mikaela also accused Anna of fabricating her upbringing. Anna responded to those accusations, explaining that she has always been open about her family's struggles. "I do not lie about the fact that I grew up broke," Anna said. "When I said I grew up broke, that is my experience, that is how I felt."

She went on to describe how difficult her childhood was, revealing that she could remember moments when her parents struggled to make ends meet. "When I can hear my parents talking in the kitchen that the budget for the groceries that week is $30, it makes me feel broke," she said. "When we can't afford school uniforms, it makes me feel broke."

Anna also addressed the allegations regarding photos showing her as a child with designer handbags and first-class flights. "The internet has gone crazy, pulling up photos from 'Anna's childhood home' that were actually photos from a place I lived in as an adult," she explained. "Those photos wouldn't even be on the internet. I didn’t have social media when I was that young."

She reassured her fans that despite the uproar, her claims about her financial struggles were not false. "It does not make me the most broke person on earth, but it does not mean that I am lying," she said.

Anna’s emotional outpouring continued as she revealed the pain the situation has caused her. "It was a very big shock to me because this is somebody that I thought was my friend and that I was close with, and it really hurt me," she confessed. She also clarified that she had not been working with a PR team to craft her response, insisting that she had been alone, processing the situation.

The feud between Anna and Mikaela has intensified since Mikaela's breakup with Anna’s brother, Atis, in 2022. Despite public statements from Mikaela that they were still in contact and on good terms, recent events have sparked speculation about the true nature of their relationship.
