KARACHI:

A large number of people protested against the police outside the Korangi Industrial Area police station and demanded the transfer of the entire police force, including the SHO. The protest was staged by the heirs of the father of seven children who died in the firing.

The protestors said that due to the lack of police patrolling in the area, dacoits are roaming freely. When the SHO is approached, he does not speak politely.

The protestors said that crimes are on the rise in Mehran Town and Korangi Industrial Area. Gutka, gambling, and betting are also being done openly. It may be noted that on Saturday, a 55-year-old citizen, Amir Khan, was killed by robbers in Mehran Town, within the limits of the Korangi Industrial Area police station.
