Blake Lively is facing fierce online backlash after a series of allegedly flirty texts between her and It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni were exposed on Baldoni’s newly launched website.

The website, launched on February 1, 2025, is part of Baldoni's efforts to clear his name in response to Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit. As part of his defense, the site shares key documents and evidence, including video footage and private correspondence, aimed at disproving the actress's claims.

One particular text exchange has captured the internet’s attention. In a message sent on April 8, 2023, Lively discusses an intimate scene from their movie, telling Baldoni, “I can send you my pass at the roof or just read with you when we get together next week. Let me know what you prefer. If you knew me (in person) longer, you'd have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball-busting would play. It's my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth. And him serving it back to her is just as important. You don't usually see both the man and the woman with such agency and humor. Anyway, I can act it out for you next week to make sure it comes through, or I can send it now. Let me know what you prefer."

Baldoni’s response was far less flirtatious. “Sorry—I was just crying my eyes out as kids and family just left for another 2 weeks, and it was a shit show.”

The text exchange has ignited a flurry of online comments, with many users criticizing Lively for crossing professional lines. The tone of the conversation, especially the "flirty" and suggestive language used by Lively, has led to accusations that she blurred the lines between personal and professional boundaries.

One user commented, "Imagine if your husband found out you were texting your colleague that he’d know how flirty and yummy you were if only he knew you longer. Blake really lost her damn mind."

Another person weighed in, "I wonder how it’s going at the Reynolds-Lively household. Ryan Reynolds is seeing these texts possibly in real-time with the rest of the world. Oof!"

Some questioned the sincerity of Lively’s claims of harassment, with one user stating, "I know this is for the movie and she's describing the character, albeit a little weird, but this is not a text you send to a man that's sexually abusing you, let alone his reply, which shows no interest."

A number of people speculated that Lively had confused her role with reality, with one commenter suggesting, "I think Blake seriously blurred the line between her own personality/reality and her character, immersing herself in a role that was way out of her league."

Others found the inclusion of sexual innuendos in the message troubling, especially the line “Never with teeth,” which some felt had an overtly suggestive undertone. “Never with teeth” is CRAZY. Coulda been passed off as friendly and silly talking about the script but she threw in that sexual innuendo,” one critic remarked. “And I’ve been trying to avoid her flirtation (because her supporters use it as a scapegoat), but him bringing up his wife every time says it all.”

As the controversy intensifies, many are anticipating the forthcoming trial. One person remarked, “I cannot wait for this to go to court. This will be better than Amber Heard. Fake Lively and Cryin Reynolds are going to regret this.”

Baldoni’s website, which aims to address and challenge Lively’s accusations, also includes two key legal documents. The first is a 224-page "Amended Complaint" that outlines Baldoni and his production company’s grievances against Lively.

The second document is a 168-page "Timeline of Relevant Events," detailing the timeline surrounding the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us, which began in January 2019.

These documents provide a comprehensive look into the conflict between the two stars and the growing public dispute over their on-set behavior and off-screen interactions.

As the legal battle unfolds, the tension between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively is only escalating, with both sides preparing for a high-stakes courtroom showdown in 2026.
