Hadyara Investigation Police claimed to have arrested a proclaimed offender, wanted in a murder case for the past four years, from Karachi.
A police spokesperson said the suspect, Mohsin, had been on the run since 2021 after allegedly killing a citizen, Imran, over a property dispute.
The investigation in-charge stated that Mohsin had been hiding in Karachi since the murder.
His arrest was made possible through a combination of modern technology and human intelligence. Further legal proceedings are underway.
Meanwhile, Nishtar Colony police claimed to have arrested a man for staging a fake robbery to embezzle company funds, on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said the suspect, identified as Zohaib, was employed by a private courier company.
After collecting cash from deliveries, he hid Rs70,000 near a tree in Lalyal village and later made a false emergency call to 15, claiming he had been robbed.
However, during interrogation, Zohaib failed to maintain his deception and eventually confessed. Police recovered the stolen amount and registered a case against him. Further investigations are underway.
