Despite speculation that Taylor Swift is distancing herself from Blake Lively due to Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal battle with Lively, sources confirm their friendship remains intact.
Rumors surfaced suggesting Swift, 35, was stepping back from her relationship with Lively, 37, to avoid public backlash. However, an insider has clarified that the reports are "not true" and that there is no strain between them. While Swift has remained silent on the lawsuit, she continues to support Lively in private.
The controversy stems from Baldoni’s $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively. The actor alleged that Lively used her connections, including Swift and Ryan Reynolds, to pressure him into accepting script changes for It Ends With Us, a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. The lawsuit includes text messages in which Lively refers to Swift and Reynolds as her "dragons" who would "fight" for her.
Lively, in response, has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, emotional distress, and launching a smear campaign against her. Her legal team has dismissed his lawsuit as "an attempt to silence a woman speaking out." Baldoni, however, denies all allegations and has released behind-the-scenes footage to support his claims.
While Lively has kept a low profile amid the scandal, her bond with Swift remains strong. The two last publicly appeared together at Swift’s Eras Tour in October 2024. As the legal battle intensifies, fans continue to speculate on its impact within Hollywood’s elite circles.
