TikTok firearm display lands youth in custody

A young man who posted a video displaying a firearm on TikTok was arrested by the police after the video went viral.

According to the police, the arrested youth is from the Kanwan village in Hassan Abdal. The video, which quickly gained attention on social media, showed the young man brandishing a weapon and attempting to stoke fear and panic among the public.

Taking serious notice of the matter, Attock DPO ordered the swift arrest of the individual. The Saddar Police Station team acted promptly and apprehended the suspect. A 30-bore pistol was recovered from his possession during the arrest.

DPO Attock, in his statement, urged parents to remain vigilant and ensure that their children are kept away from such dangerous activities. He emphasised the importance of guiding young individuals towards positive and constructive pursuits to avoid potential harm and legal consequences.

This incident highlights the growing concern over the misuse of social media platforms, where individuals often post content that endangers public safety and spreads fear. Authorities continue to monitor such activities closely and take swift action against those engaging in unlawful behaviour.

On the other hand, the Kot Najibullah police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage boy. The incident took place in the remits of the Kot Najibullah police station. A case was registered against the accused under sections 376 and 53 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Kot Najibullah Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Dilpazeer Khan, along with a police team, nabbed suspect Chaudhry Muhammad Saleh who raped a 16-year-old boy.

In another action, Beed SHO station Saeedur Rehman, along with a police team, apprehended drug trafficker Saeed Akhtar and recovered 4.4 kilogrammes of hashish from his possession. TIP SHO Rizwan Khan and his team apprehended Faisal alias Bata and recovered 2.7kg of heroin from his possession.
