Sindh's Ean Mark John, Punjab's Owais Munir, Naseem Akhtar, Wasim Abbas, Babar Masih and Muhammad Shahbaz advanced in the pre-quarterfinals of the 49th NBP National Snooker Championship.
According to Tournament Director Naveed Kapadia, on the seventh day of the 49th NBP National Snooker Championship being held at the Snooker Arena of the National Bank Sports Complex, Muhammad Shahbaz of Punjab reached the pre-quarterfinals of the National Snooker Championship through to his excellent play.
In addition to them, Sindh's Ean Mark John, Punjab's Owais Munir, Naseem Akhtar, Babar Masih and Wasim Abbas have also reached the second round of the championship.
On monday, Punjab's Abdullah defeated Balochistan's Jahanzeb Jahangir 4-3, Sindh's Umair Alam defeated Islamabad's M Muzammil 4-0, Sindh's Khizr Aziz defeated Sindh's Ayan Ali 4-0, Punjab's M Nazir defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Malik Muzammil 4-1, Punjab's Muhammad Shahbaz defeated Sindh's M Hasnain 4-2, Sindh's Ali Raza defeated Punjab's Zubair Tahir 4-1.
Sindh's Umair Khan defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Shahid Saleem 4-3, Balochistan's Ibrahim Khan defeated Punjab's Shahid Shafiq 4-2, Islamabad's Faisal Daniyal defeated Sindh's Ean Mark John 4-3, Punjab's Wasim Abbas defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Sarbuland Khan 4-2. Punjab's Babar Masih defeated Balochistan's Asadullah 4-0, Punjab's Ahsan Javed defeated Islamabad's Ali Dara 4-3 and World Snooker champion Muhammad Asif defeated Sharjeel Mahmood of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 4-0.
