Usman teases his role in Kubra-Gohar love story

Actor overjoyed by couple's wedding announcement

Usman Mukhtar took to Instagram Stories to react to Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed's star-studded reel announcing their marriage. "Super happy for you two! Just tell everyone now who played cupid," Usman wrote, teasing that he might've been the one to do so.

Speculation over the relationship status of the two screen stars has been running amok for years. And recently, they confirmed the big news in an Instagram video featuring many notable faces.

The fun skit quizzing fans and netizens on "Kis yaar ki shaadi hai?" ("Which friend is getting married?") featured stars such as siblings Momal and Shahzad Sheikh, Ali Rehman Khan, Azaan Sami Khan, and Humayun Saeed. Although some hilarious dialogues were thrown around, the couple was bent on speaking in implication.

The video ended with Kubra and Gohar gazing wordlessly into the camera. Kubra flicked a finger between the two, before they burst into giggles. Gohar then endearingly pulled her into a side-embrace. "With your love and prayers... Bismillah," Kubra's caption read.

Hearts flooded the comments section, with many users offering their heartfelt wishes to the duo. "The matching hoodies! I'm so happy for you cuties. May Allah keep you both happy," one user remarked. "So sweet, dude. Wishing you both a life filled with love, laughter, and happiness," prayed another.

Kubra's fans seemed to know her all too well, as they pointed out her adorable shyness towards the end. "The way she's blushing," one follower noted. "Best friends to lovers kinda K-drama, gah! You guys look so good together!" another fan gushed, referring to Kubra's obsession with Korean entertainment.

Even peers sent their love in the comments section. "Dhair saari duaen... (An abundance of prayers for you...)," wrote Omer Shahzad. "Yay! Finally, I don't need to keep my mouth shut! Mashallah, Alhumdulillah," rejoiced former actor Aisha Uqbah Malik. "Aw so cute," Hira Mani sweetly remarked, while the featured Azaan simply commented "Kubes and G" with a heart.

Since the "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" reel confirmed the duo's romance, the two have been heartily interacting with each other on social media. After dropping the big reel, Kubra took to Instagram Stories to share an old interview, in which Gohar spoke fondly of her acting skills.

"Off camera, you're thinking you'll be on par with your co-star. But once they call 'action', she takes off like a rocket," he said in the resurfaced clip. "She's a very natural actor. That's what I really like about her."

Endeared, Kubra wrote, "The best thing about the announcement is that I get to see things I've never seen before... like, really?"
