Police DIG Hyderabad Digital Investigation Cell recovered 521 mobile phones in 2024, which were lost, stolen or snatched.
An official of the cell, Zohaib Hussain, told The Express Tribune that the combine worth of the recovered phones has been estimated at around Rs17.7 million.
Hussain, who has recently received an appreciation certificate for the record high recovery last year from DIG Tariq Razzak Dharejo, said technological advancements have allowed them to find the phones from any part of the country.
